Our trail running tours there’s much to see along the way with plenty of rest opportunities. We can stop and soak our trail running feet in a beautiful sandstone pool of water surrounded by cottonwood trees, and stop to contemplate the ancient artwork left behind by the natives who ran here 1200 years ago. While running, our guides can give you an overview of the geological history of the trail you are running. Some of our trails have dinosaur tracks. The colors of the different types of sandstone vary from red, orange, green, purple, and gold. Depending on what time you choose to run, the colors of the sandstone highlighted by the sun will dazzle your eyes like a Tom Till photograph.
At Moab Trail Running Adventures, you are our guest so the trip is at your pace. The technicality of trails in Moab can range from easy to extremely technical. The terrain will surely test your stamina and your feet. The climbs out of canyons can be very steep with rocky or sandy terrain. Many trails run along cliff ledges and can be somewhat narrow. Remember, you set the pace; we will go as slow or as fast as you wish. We can soar down a single-track like the Colorado River in high-water, and then run up a 700ft drainage in the next instant.
This running tour includes: knowledgeable & certified guide, hand bottles or hydration pack, shuttle to trail-head/back to town meeting point, and lunch at a local’s favorite spot. Please let us know if you have any food allergies so we can accommodate you when buying snacks.

A newly established trail system that allows only non-motorized travel, this trail running tour offers a leisurely adventure run suitable for novice runners or that adventurous family with young runners. Begin on a rolling sandy dirt road that gradually merges into a well-marked slick rock trail with short, mellow hill climbs. Enjoy spectacular views of red rock landscapes as you run near Arches National Park border and stop to place your trail shoe clad feet beside preserved dinosaur tracks.
Megasteps/EKG: 8 miles

Sunset Running Trips
If sleeping in is more your preference, then join us for a sunset trip. You can choose to watch the sun dip down, below the red-rock spires, from a vantage point in the La Sal Mountains, or you can choose to get a closer view from a high sandstone mesa. We will then descend to the trailhead where your guide will serve appetizers. Your post-run treat will consist of fresh fruit, Brie cheese, bruschetta on a Baguette bread, and wine/beer.
